How many stars in the sky?

Number of stars in the universe more than sand on earth
There are 70 sextillion (1 sextillion = 1000 exponentiation seven) stars in our view, 10 times the total number of grains of sand on the beaches and deserts of Earth, the astronomers announced Australia. They just finished counting the stars are considered the most accurate ever.

From the darkest places on earth, the eye can see about 5,000 stars. From a street lighting is lit only see about 100, but with modern telescopes is entirely different.
The Australian astronomers have used the most advanced equipment in the world to measure the brightness of all galaxies in a region of the universe, and calculate how many stars in it. Since then, they continue to find the total number of stars of the universe of our vision. The researchers believe their results much more accurate than previous estimates.
Figures published in the conference of the Federation of astronomy at the Sydney International the week is: 70 sextillion, which included 22 No. 7 No. 0. This figure is greater than all the grains of sand on the coast and desert of the earth combined. But that is just the stars in the universe we can see, that is within sight of the telescope.
Dr Simon Driver, author of the study, said the actual number will be larger than multiply, can not even identify. He believed that many stars on that planet, and probably some of the planet that has life.
